At MOAS we are constantly working to improve the lives of needy pets, whether that be shelter pets or animals in our community. We run a community pet food bank for families who need a little help to take care of their animals, especially those who have suddenly fallen on hard times. Our shelter animals themselves often have a diverse array of needs. Some of them have never seen a toy before in their lives; some need special foods to help them with weight loss, dental issues, diabetes, and urinary problems; and some just need a soft bed to lie on. Donations of new or gently used items from generous members of the community help us meet these needs and many more.
So we're hoping that you'll help us Stuff the Bus this holiday season to help make a difference in the lives of animals in our community. Yes - we have our large transport RV, and we want to fill it full with all sorts of donations, and we need your help to do it! Please bring any pet supplies in good condition to our shelter to help us fill it up until our Santa Paws event on December 8, 2018. That can include pet beds, crates, towels, sheets, cleaning supplies, pet food, treats, toys, rawhides, carriers, bowls, blankets, harnesses, leashes, collars, cat scratchers and trees, nail clippers, pet clothing, shredded paper, brushes, paper towels, litter pans and scoops, and more! What we need most at the moment is canned and dry kitten food, cat litter, and bleach (we go through a LOT of bleach!). Anything that we may not be able to use at the shelter can help our community food bank and our foster homes.
