Family Volunteer Day - Spring Cleaning Edition

While it already feels like summer, we still need some help with our Spring Cleaning! We have a LOT of projects that we need to get done at the shelter, so we are holding our next Family Volunteer Day on Sunday, June 9th from 2-4pm to try to tackle a bunch of these projects. We will have family-friendly tasks for everyone, although we do have some projects that could use some adult help with like cleaning our gutters and setting up some new metal shelving.

We'll be working on organizing old files, setting up our new storage container, weeding and spreading mulch at the front of the shelter, and more! We also will set up dog-washing stations, which is a lot of fun for the whole family and for our pups, and can be a great way for everyone to cool down on a hot day. And as always, we'll have lots of fun activities for the kids working with the dogs like making enrichment treats and toys and socializing our animals.

Please remember to wear appropriate clothes and clothes-toed shows and bring a refillable water bottle to help stay hydrated throughout the day, and we will absolutely be rotating with inside and outside events to make sure that no one gets overheated.
